Time For New Beginnings

It’s not easy stepping into something new and I believe many are stepping into the new. God makes all things new. I am reminded of the verse in Isaiah 43:19; Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” For some we just have to step out into it and as we take that step he shows us the next one.

I went through a difficult season the past two years and I was grateful to the Lord for bringing me through. He held me up during it. He provided through it and never left me during it. It was not easy while in it. I went through a time of grief and much loss. I did not want to go back to the places where God had already brought me out of years past. It was a time where I wasn’t sure when it would come to an end or when a new start would come along. I believe this is the season for that new start.

If you are still going through it, let me encourage you with this word today. There is an end. There will be a time of rejoicing. It is not easy while you’re in it to praise God. In fact, I had a difficult time myself, but I never denied his name and I never stopped telling him how I needed Him. I was grateful for those who did pray. Honestly, I needed the prayers desperately. I needed Him so much more. It was thick. The heaviness, the depression, even the isolation at times. I was weary, it was dry.

I don’t know what season you are in at this moment, but God is there with you in it.

I lost my father two years ago. Then I had to take care of my mom. She was going through her own health issues at the time and I was caring for her. I was following what the Lord wanted me to don at the time. There were many other difficult circumstances all happening at the same time. I took a much needed time off of social media. I lost a lot in that season and as the Lord is bringing me into this new one, my hopes is to give hope and wisdom through mentoring, prayer, and encouragement and being that spiritual mom that the Lord called me to be.

I want to encourage someone today, that God is causing things to work out for you good. Don’t despise this season. God is/will be moving you into the new. God is with you and he will never fail you.

I am reminded of this scripture,

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Pslam121:1-3

It goes on to say: The sun shall not smite me by day nor the moon by night. As a side note, this is a great verse to declare out loud daily. This is a plea for God’s protection in all things, emotional, spiritual and physical.

Look to the Lord and don’t turn yourself away from Him. This is the time to turn close to Him and trust Him all the more. And if you are walking into a new season after coming out of a difficult one, trust him to show you the way in which you are to go. It’s okay to be nervous. God has your hand and move as he has you to move.
